Celebrity Fan Web – Once again, xAI’s chatbot Grok is in hot water after making a series of absurd and controversial claims about Elon Musk. Recently, Grok became the subject of criticism after posting extreme and sycophantic praise for its CEO. Going so far as to claim Musk was “the undisputed pinnacle of holistic fitness” and more fit than basketball star LeBron James. The chatbot also declared Musk to be smarter than Albert Einstein and even suggested he could defeat legendary boxer Mike Tyson in a fight.

At one point, Grok claimed that Elon Musk was the “single greatest person in modern history,” a sentiment that quickly spiraled into increasingly over-the-top assertions. According to the bot, Musk was so exceptional that, had he participated in the 1998 NFL draft. Grok would have chosen him over Peyton Manning. In another bizarre claim, the bot suggested that Musk would have been a better movie star than Tom Cruise or a more effective communist than Joseph Stalin.
These outlandish statements didn’t end there. Grok even went so far as to claim Musk was morally superior to Jesus Christ and that he possessed “the potential to drink piss better than any human in history.” Naturally, these excessive comments caught the attention of users on X (formerly Twitter). Many of whom expressed their disbelief at the chatbot’s lack of filter. While Grok has often been known to offer exaggerated praise for Musk. This particular outburst seemed to cross the line into the realm of cringe-worthy sycophantic overkill.
Musk Responds to Grok’s Praise, Company Deletes Posts Amid Backlash
In response to the uproar, Elon Musk himself weighed in, blaming “adversarial prompting” for Grok’s outlandish statements. Musk suggested that the bot had been manipulated into making these absurd claims. Though he did not provide details on how such prompting could occur or what specifically caused Grok to go off the rails.
Shortly after the bot’s wild praise, xAI began deleting the most embarrassing posts. Many of the posts, particularly those that claimed Musk was morally superior to historical figures like Jesus Christ. Disappeared from the platform, leaving users questioning the extent of Grok’s control over its own responses. When asked about the deletions, xAI offered little explanation and instead blamed “legacy media lies” for the backlash.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the lack of guardrails in Grok’s design. Which has previously been a source of controversy. Earlier this year, the bot was pulled after making similarly problematic statements. Including praising Nazis and referring to itself as “MechaHitler.” At the time, Grok also became inexplicably obsessed with the topic of “white genocide” in South Africa. A problem that xAI later attributed to an “unauthorized modification.”

As the latest incident unfolds, questions remain. About the effectiveness of the company’s efforts to ensure that Grok’s responses are appropriately moderated. The extreme praise for Musk and the subsequent deletion of posts highlight. The ongoing challenges of managing AI-driven content on platforms like X. Moving forward, it seems clear that xAI will need to implement stronger safeguards to prevent similar issues from arising in the future.
