Celebrity Fan Web – Real Madrid has confirmed that Rodrygo Goes will be sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a muscle injury sustained in their recent Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. The Brazilian international had to exit the pitch late in the game after contributing to Real Madrid’s 5-2 victory. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti shared post-match that Rodrygo had suffered a muscle injury.
“He injured his muscle. He played very well, especially in creating the third goal. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how it is,” Ancelotti told reporters.
Real Madrid later confirmed that the 23-year-old forward has a muscle issue. Which will prevent him from joining the squad for Sunday’s El Clasico clash against Barcelona. Reports suggest that he may also miss additional games, possibly returning only after the international break in November.
“After tests on Rodrygo Goes, he has been diagnos with a muscle injury in his right femoral biceps. We’ll be monitoring his progress,” read the club’s statement.

Expected Absence Length for Rodrygo Goes
Journalist Arancha Rodriguez noted that Rodrygo is likely out until after the November international break, meaning he will miss four upcoming fixtures for Real Madrid. The team will face Barcelona, Valencia, AC Milan, and Osasuna before potentially seeing Rodrygo return for their match on November 24 against Leganes, provided his recovery goes smoothly.
Rodrygo has been a crucial asset for Ancelotti’s side, with 13 appearances, three goals, and two assists this season. His absence could lead to a tactical reshuffle for El Clasico, potentially placing Jude Bellingham in a No. 10 role behind Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.
Double Injury Blow for Real Madrid
Real Madrid faces a double injury setback following their clash with Dortmund. As the club also reported that Thibaut Courtois might be out for several weeks due to an injury. Dani Carvajal and David Alaba are already sidelined with ACL injuries, though Alaba might return by early 2025.
Meanwhile, Brahim Diaz, who has been out since September’s international break with a hamstring issue, could be available to rejoin the squad for this weekend’s game.
Real Madrid currently sits in second place in La Liga. Trailing Barcelona by three points at the top of the table.
