FireAid Benefit Concert Rallies Support for L.A. Wildfire Recovery and Prevention
Organizers have arranged FireAid, an upcoming benefit concert, to support Los Angeles communities devastated by recent wildfires in Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena. These fires, which have caused significant damage and displacement, remain partially contained, with the Eaton Fire at 55% and the Palisades Fire at 22% containment as of Thursday afternoon.
The event, described as an evening of music and solidarity, is being hosted at two venues: the Intuit Dome and The Forum in Inglewood. Live Nation, AEG, and the Azoff Company have partnered with these locations to bring the benefit concert to life. In addition to live attendance, FireAid will reach a global audience through streaming platforms, including Apple Music, the Apple TV App, Max, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video, and YouTube, along with broadcasts via SiriusXM, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, SoundCloud, and Veeps. Select AMC Theatres will also screen the concert, ensuring widespread accessibility.
Proceeds from the event will support a newly established 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to wildfire recovery and prevention. Funds will be allocated to rebuilding infrastructure, assisting displaced families, and advancing fire prevention technologies to better prepare Los Angeles for future emergencies.
Unites Music Industry to Support L.A. Wildfire Recovery Efforts
Shelli and Irving Azoff, along with the Azoff family, Live Nation, and AEG Presents, will produce FireAid, a benefit concert to support recovery efforts for Los Angeles communities devastated by recent wildfires. While the producers have not yet confirmed the final performer lineup, the event has already garnered widespread support.
Strong Santa Ana winds fueled the fires that ignited on January 7 in the Pacific Palisades, quickly spreading them across Los Angeles County and leaving a path of destruction. The fires destroyed over 12,000 homes, buildings, and structures and tragically claimed at least 25 lives. First responders have worked tirelessly to contain the flames, with efforts ongoing.
The devastation has deeply resonated with artists such as Billie Eilish and Gwen Stefani, both California natives. Eilish grew up in Los Angeles, while Stefani hails from Anaheim. Their personal connections to the region underscore the concert’s significance. Notably, legendary rock band Eagles have already pledged $2.5 million toward the benefit.
The concert’s announcement follows the cancellation of several high-profile Hollywood events, including Grammy-related gatherings, as the L.A. community focuses on recovery. FireAid seeks to rally support for those affected by the disaster while raising funds to rebuild infrastructure, assist displaced families, and advance fire prevention technologies.
Scheduled for January 30, the concert will take place at both the Intuit Dome and The Forum in Inglewood. Ticket sales begin on January 22. The event will broadcast and stream live performances across platforms like Apple Music, Netflix, YouTube, and Paramount+, enabling a global audience to participate and contribute.
FireAid represents a powerful collaboration of the music industry, local communities, and first responders, working together to rebuild and strengthen the region in the wake of tragedy.
